Below are some ways to set up your Ford EV!

Pre-Condition Your Ford EV

You can pre-condition your EV. Preconditioning means using charging power instead of battery power to heat your vehicle and help preserve the range.Ā You can use your FordPass App or the SYNC screen in your Ford EV to set it up.
  1. Ā Select the home button on the SYNC Screen
  2. Ā Select Charging
  3. Ā Select Departure and Comfort
  4. Ā Adjust the days of the week, the time, and the cabin temperature
  5. Ā Save Settings
  1. Ā Select the Vehicle tab and departure time
  2. Ā Select add departure
  3. Ā You can adjust the days of the week, the time, and the cabin temperature

Maximize Your Battery Health

Similar to smartphone batteries, your Ford EV’s battery health will benefit from a longer lifespan if you only charge to 90% and not allowing it to drain down to zero.

  1. Ā Select the Vehicle tab and departure time
  2. Ā Select the charge setting dropdown
  3. Ā Choose preferred charge times
  4. Ā Select the location you want to manage
  5. Ā Use the sliding bar to adjust the charge level
  6. Ā You can also change your charge times from the screen as well
  7. Ā Save your settings!

With your FordPass app, you will be notified that your Ford EV has reached its preset temperature and will allow you not to use any unnecessary battery power.
